This new tautog rig is meant to be cast into rocks where other rigs are more prone to snagging. Because tautog love swimming around rocks, it’s often hard to get bait there without snagging. This rig comes complete with a barrel swivel, 50# leader a 1 1/2oz egg sinker and a 4/0 circle hook.
Just attach the swivel to your main line and add the bait of your choice.
This rig doesn’t just work for tautog, it will work for any bottom feeding fish. Just cast out, let the sinker roll until it stops. Reel in the slack of the line and wait for a good bite!
