This starter kit comes complete with rigs, weights, and hooks! Just tie your main line to the barrel swivel and cast out, leave your line in the water and wait for the bite! All hooks are circle hooks, meaning you don’t have to set the hook, the fish will hook itself as it swims off with your bait.
**I highly recommend your main line at least a minimum of 30 pound test. Otherwise your line may snap when casting out.

Species I’ve caught with these rigs: bluefish, flounder, spot, croaker, tautog, sheepshead, triggerfish, black seabass, stingrays and small sharks. The preffered bait to use is shrimp, salted clams or calamari style squid. Just cut small pieces and attached them to the hooks, cast out and leave your line out waiting for a bite.
Fish Grips are a very easy tool to use, just insert the grip into the mouth of the fish and close it. It will grip the lip of the fish so you can take the hook out.
